KGIS's three-year-long M2E GIS Upgrade Project (with CH2M Hill) officially ended at a ceremony today in the Small Assembly Room of the City County Building. As part of the project, more than a half-terrabyte's amount of data (comprised of >195 unique feature categories) and 20 distinct GIS applications were transitioned to ESRI's most recent and industry-standard software platform. During the ceremony, KGIS also recognized 26 different City, County and MPC employees who contributed mightily to the project in their roles as data contributors. And on a final note, the project was also under budget!
