It is with a heavy heart that KGIS has learned that Conn McAnally will be leaving his employment here after 11 years. Conn has served as KGIS' Oracle / SQL Server database administrator, and has acted as KGIS' key resource on data translations, interagency workflows, ESRI ArcSDE software administration, etc. etc. Conn most recently served as KGIS' project manager on KUB's recent software migration. Conn's last day is scheduled for March 11, 2011. Our most fond wishes go with Conn in his new job!

KGIS's subdivision search tool, which allows one to locate subdivisions and condominium complexes within KGIS' mapping web sites, has been enhanced to now include mobile home parks and apartment complexes. The subdivision search can be accessed in KGIS's newest site KGIS Lite (which has since been replaced with KGIS Maps) by launching the "Search By: Other..Subdivision" option from the drop-down list at the top of the page.

You can now search on apartments, condos, mobile home parks, and subdivisions from the same search tool . This applies to all websites and desktop subdivision searches. Just type in apartment, condo, or mobile to get a return of all features or just start typing a name. On Monday, Feb. 21st, KUB plans to unveil its new KUB GISweb application, which was developed by KGIS to be an enterprise-wide mapping web site for all KUB personnel. The new site, which is built upon ESRI's latest v10 ArcGIS Server product utilizing the Silverlight API and Telvent controls, is truly a rich, internet application (RIA) - providing desktop-like functionality via the web.
