Property Lookup E-Gov SiteThe Knox County Property Assessor has introduced a new Property Lookup / E-Gov website that allows one to review current and past property values, along with details about land and improvements.

The new site has been integrated with KGIS Mapsallowing one to....

-------------------

quickly "zoom" to a parcel's location by selecting one of the four map themes (Standard, Aerial, Topo, FEMA) at the top of the page. (see image below). To read more about the site, visit the Assessor's webpage at http://tn-knox-assessor.publicaccessnow.com/Welcome.aspx

It should be noted, however, that the Property Assessor's new E-Gov site reflects "year-end" status. Therefore, any new parcel created AFTER December 31, 2012 will NOT be searchable inside the E-GOV site (see example 121GC02501 ).

And conversely, if a parcel that previously existed has since been split or merged into a new, different parcel, then the backwards link from the E-Gov site to KGIS Maps will return a message that the "parcel cannot be found". (Here is an example parcel ID that exists in the E-Gov site, but no longer exists in the current KGIS map: 121GC001 .  However, one can still access the Owner Card report for these newly retired parcels from KGIS's Online Reports tool (which is located on the Online Tools dropdown list on this page).

Mark, if you'll give us some more details about what isn't working on the KGIS site, we'll be glad to take a look to see if it is a coding error or something.

Tina,

The mortgage / lien status of properties is tracked by the Register of Deeds Office, and is not accessible via the KGIS, Property Assessor or Trustee websites. However, one can call the Register's Office at 865-215-2329 to inquire about the mortgage status of any particular property.

Beth, I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the KGIS website...you are welcome to contact us directly at 865.215.2641 to step us through the specifics of how you are using the site, and we'll see if we can replicate the issue here at KGIS....If so, then we might be able to diagnose where the problem is coming from. Take care, and thank you for the feedback...we just need a little more information.

Where do you find the info about the taxes due for each year on your property? It use to show by the year, the owner and if paid or not.

Kathy,

The Property Tax Payment History report can be found on the County Trustee's "PROPERTY TAX SEARCH" web site: (Link: https://www.knoxcounty.org/apps/tax_search/index.php ).

A link to that site can also be found in the "Results" pane of KGIS MAPS after having selected a Parcel and reviewing its "Full Parcel Details". Don't hesitate to give us a ring at 215-2641 and we'll be glad to help.

The main thing people want is something to do with

taxes-- I spent a half hour on this sight an never found the taxe on parcel. We use to go to KGIS and

in two minutes we had all the public info we need.

Please fix this sight. We are KnoxCounty TN not

Obama Care

Jim,

The County Trustee maintains the website on which one can locate the property taxes that are due....Here is the link to that website: https://www.knoxcounty.org/apps/tax_search .
