Monthly Users Group Meeting

Re-Scheduled to Wed., April 3rd, 2013

Scheduled Topic: "Creating a New Map Project in ArcGIS"

The monthly KGIS Users Group meeting, which normally is conducted on the last Monday of each month, has been re-scheduled to Wednesday, April 3rd, from 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. in Room 453 ("City War Room") of the City-County Bldg.

KGIS's database administrator Chris Halcomb plans to conduct a basic introduction on how to create a new map project using the ESRI ArcGIS desktop suite of software. He will step users through the basic steps of connecting to the KGIS database, opening a new edit session, and creating basic point, line or area features in the new map project.

Then, if time permits, Chris plans to demo how that new map project can be accessed via KGIS's Advanced Maps web application (which is currently in "beta").
