Over the next several weeks, KGIS will version and enable archiving on the 24 landbase feature classes. This will allow us to edit the landbase data and update it based off the 2014 aerial orthophotography and subsequent years. We will capture those edits in an archive so we can look at the data changes overtime. KGIS will start with the High-Priority Planimetry Features outlined in the Strategic Plan for Landbase Update Program .
Also, we will be changing the schema by adding and deleting some fields. KGIS will add a new field to all the landbase feature classes called SOURCE_OF_LASTEDIT. This field would be populated with something like this...Pictometry Aerial 2014 or Sanborn Aerial 2010. The comment will represent the reason, verification, or vintage of the last edit. Several legacy fields will also be deleted that were Microstation specific like LEVEL_X. We are also working on creating Shoulder polygons from the Transline feature class and will be adding those the TransArea feature class in the next several months. We have also created 2 new feature datasets that are snapshots in time of the Sanborn delivered landbase feature classes and they all have the 08_10 at the end of their name (ELEV_Contour100ft_KNO08_10).

Step 1. Version and Archive all landbase feature classes

Step 3. Populate that field with Sanborn Aerial 2010 or Pictomerty Aerial 2014
Step 4. Add new Subtype for Shoulders in Trans_Area feature class
